Patrick Alan

Patrick Alan, a.k.a. Ice or Mr. P. is a versatile entertainer, a singer, dancer, and director from Saint Louis, Missouri, who witnessed the development of the music industry from the inside and the outside by first hand. As a dancer he is all over the styles like, jazz, tap, locking, or popping.

After winning a dance contest called Dance Fever with his group Whiplash, he drove to LA to another dance contest, winning against LA City Rockers. Later, he would get an agent and work in Soul Train, where he would meet a lot of celebrities from the music and dance industry.

His charisma and talent made him the one who picked the dancers for a lot of star musicians, like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Michael Jackson, even being one of the audition runners from Smooth Criminal and being part of the Moonwalker movie.

Patrick was the lead singer of The Drifters, being apprentice of the first lead singer of the band, Johnny Moore. With them he would make the opening for James Brown, a few shows before he passed away.

Patrick later on would do the Late Music Nights, where he invited a lot of the biggest musicians of the moment, Black eyed peas, Chaka Khan, Lionel Ritchie, Pharrel, Jrule, Nas, The roots, Caleaf, and many more.

Patrick’s rocked audiences worldwide, and keeps pushing to do it in the present day and we are proud to present him as one of the Street Dance Roots Inductees.
